One of the founders of The Surgery Group, Dr. Hodnette was born in New Orleans, LA and raised in Pensacola. His father was a renowned gynecologist in Pensacola for many years. He has two brothers and one sister. He is married to Frances Z. Hodnette (Frankie) and they have four sons, William, Christopher, Jonathan and Brooks III.

Dr. Hodnette was previously President of the Medical Staff at Baptist Hospital, Chief of General Surgery at both Baptist and Sacred Heart Hospitals, and Chief of the Department of Surgery at Baptist Hospital. He is also a member and past President of the Piedmont Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Hodnette has, at various times, been treasurer, secretary, and president of the Pensacola Surgical Society.

His outside interests include sports (golf, tennis, and hockey), hunting, flying, computers, and boating.
